HORNER Recruitment confirms it is compliant with the The National Privacy Principles established by the Privacy Act 1988. We collect, store and dispose of all personal information in line with the principals.
Personal information that we collect and hold usually falls into the following categories:
- Work performance information;
- Information about incidents in the workplace;
- Information submitted and obtained in relation to absences from work due to leave, illness or other causes;
- Information obtained to assist in managing client and business relationships;
- Payroll details of all working Candidates.
We primarily hold personal information for the following:
- Recruitment activities;
- Temporary staff management;
- Client and business relationship management;
- Marketing;
- Providing candidate details to prospective employers;
- Payroll / Superannuation.
We may disclose your personal information for the purpose for which it is primarily held or for a related secondary purpose as outlined in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.
Furthermore we may disclose your personal information where we are under a legal duty to do so, including circumstances where we are under a lawful duty of care to disclose information.

Our contractors may see some of your personal information. Typically our contractors would include:
- I.T. contractors and database designers;
- Recruitment contractors.

Subject to the exemptions that are set out in the National Privacy Principles, you can gain access your personal information that we have on file.
Access may be declined if it would interfere with the privacy rights of other persons or if it breaches any confidentiality that attaches to that information.

Your information will be retrieved in a timely and efficient manner.
