The day provides an opportunity to reflect on how to prevent occupational deaths, injuries, diseases and illnesses. It is also a day to remember those who have died from a work-related injury or illness.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s theme\u00a0is \u2018Act together to build a positive safety and health culture&#8217; and\u00a0encourages workplaces to foster a strong work health and safety culture in which everyone contributes to a safe and healthy working environment.<\/p>\n<p>It is a reminder that we all need to embed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.safeworkaustralia.gov.au\/glossary#whs\">WHS<\/a>\u00a0into our workplace culture and make it everyone\u2019s responsibility to save lives and create happy, safe, and healthy workplaces.<\/p>\n<h2>What does Horner do to foster a strong work health and safety culture?<\/h2>\n<p>The health, safety and wellbeing of our Horner Community of candidates, clients and staff is always of our utmost priority.<\/p>\n<p>At Horner, we:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Are OHS Act 2004 compliant &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.horner.com.au\/ohs-consulting\/ohs-consulting-overview\/\">committed to best practice<\/a>.
