{"id":2589,"date":"2022-08-09T04:00:54","date_gmt":"2022-08-09T04:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/horner-au.ap.applyflow.com\/uncategorized\/employee-wellbeing-matters\/"},"modified":"2025-03-11T22:48:02","modified_gmt":"2025-03-11T22:48:02","slug":"employee-wellbeing-matters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.horner.com.au\/employee-wellbeing-matters\/","title":{"rendered":"Employee wellbeing matters"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\t<p>Many organisations are focusing on wellbeing of their employees as they realise it can affect the organisation&#8217;s business performance and culture.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/business.linkedin.com\/content\/dam\/me\/business\/en-us\/talent-solutions-lodestone\/body\/pdf\/global_talent_trends_2022.pdf\">LinkedIn&#8217;s 2022 Global Talent Trend report<\/a> there was a 147% increase in the share of job posts that mention &#8220;wellbeing&#8221; since 2019.<\/p>\n<p>As the report highlights, in a tight job market, employers will have to continue to innovate their wellbeing and mental health offerings to lure and retain talent.\u00a0 In particular, Millennials (51%) and Generation Z (66%) stated they&#8217;d like to see more investment in mental health and wellness to improve company culture.<\/p>\n<p>The pandemic has also increased the number of people working from home (WFH) and has blurred the boundaries of work and home putting pressure on organisations to have a more holistic approach to their employees that goes beyond work.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How can organisations make changes?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/business.linkedin.com\/content\/dam\/me\/business\/en-us\/talent-solutions-lodestone\/body\/pdf\/global_talent_trends_2022.pdf\">LinkedIn&#8217;s 2022 Global Talent Trend report<\/a> shared these ideas on ways to improve wellbeing strategies at workplaces:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Train managers to be empathetic leaders<\/li>\n<li>Make mental health services easily accessible<\/li>\n<li>Use people analytics to identify problems<\/li>\n<li>Turn your employees into mental health allies<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>What are organisations changing to improve their wellbeing strategies?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrdaily.com.au\/news\/how-three-organisations-are-upping-the-ante-on-employee-wellbeing-10694\">HR Daily<\/a> recently shared some insights from three organisation on how they are going to the next level with their wellbeing strategies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Focusing on the &#8216;intangible culture&#8217;;<\/strong> Ebay shifted conversations meetings to include wellbeing and spend time talking on how people are doing: not business problems, not performance discussions, but how they&#8217;re doing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;People-centric&#8221; approach; <\/strong>Monday.com moved away from engagement as being a key HR metric and shifted its focus to wellbeing and created a more holistic offer in terms of employee wellness.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Resilience;<\/strong> Lander &amp; Rogers narrowed their focus to one key area that being resilience whilst broadening their program to encompass not only their employees but also the employee&#8217;s families, friends and clients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t reviewed your wellbeing strategies recently, now is the time to look at new ideas and take your strategies to the next level to attract and retain good employees.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many organisations are focusing on wellbeing of their employees as they realise it can affect the organisation&#8217;s business performance and culture.
