About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Sales Clerk to commence with an established business that have been manufacturing and supplying to the building industry for over 60 years. This is a Company that genuinely cares and looks after their staff. You will be working in a fun supportive environment and you will be provided with on the job training and the opportunity to develop and grow within the Company.
We are seeking a team player with a bright, cheerful personality to provide the best possible service to internal staff and customers. Previous counter sales experience within the trade industry would be a distinct advantage.
Key responsibilities will include:
Receiving Inbound calls from customers
Taking customer phone orders
Recording and passing on quote enquiries for preparation
Processing invoices for deliveries
Reconciling cash sales and recording incoming cheques /cash
Face to face counter sales and assistance in the Showroom
Data entry of sales orders onto the database
Investigating and processing credit notes
Processing stock adjustments
Liaising with drivers and customers in relation to deliveries
General office administration tasks eg Mail, filing, banking, typing driver manifests and weekly reports, ordering stationary, driving Company Vehicles as required
To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Customer service focused
Excellent communication skills and personal presentation
Cash handling and Eftpos experience
Strong time management & prioritisation skills
Fast accurate data entry
Intermediate Excel, Word and Explorer (Pronto experience desirable)
Energetic, enthusiastic & flexible in your approach
Reliable with strong work ethic
Current Victorian driver’s licence
Commencing in a temporary capacity through Horner Recruitment with the opportunity to convert to permanent.
Hours – Monday to Friday from 7am-4pm, free on-site parking and a great hourly rate.
