Learning and Events Officer

DESCRIPTION

Use your experience in delivering administrative and logistics support for learning and development events.

 

What’s on offer:

  • Contract role until January 2022
  • Hourly rate of $40-45 per hour – commensurate to experience and quals
  • 3 days per week (with the potential for extra days during peak event periods)
  • Flexi office/WFH arrangements

 

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate the delivery and evaluation of the councillor professional development program 
  • Provide support as required with the delivery of events such as workshops, seminars and forums offered by the organisation
  • Provide support as required with the delivery of major events such as conferences and state council meetings
  • Provide support with the delivery of the Councillor Service Awards and Scholarships
  • Provide support with coordinating the Professional Development Reference Group meetings including preparation and distribution of agendas, materials and correspondence
  • Provide support with the implementation and delivery of an eLearning program
  • Provide support with the Stand for Council campaign including coordination of information sessions (venues, guest speakers) and collation of presentations and support materials

 

Selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in learning and development, event management or similar
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills with excellent attention to detail, the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated experience with and advanced skills with Cvent or similar event management systems
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive and collaborative relationships and manage key stakeholders 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A growth mindset with a high degree of personal and professional integrity 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office365 suite including SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams, Zoom or other online meeting platforms.
  • Current police check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
