Outbound Manager

DESCRIPTION

About the Role

An experienced 3PL Outbound Manager is required to join this growing logistics business based in Smithfield.
This is a hands-on role for a warehouse professional who is driven to succeed and keen to further grow their career in a busy 3PL environment.

Duties

Reporting to the DC Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising the day-to-day outbound logistics operation of a busy 3PL warehouse facility.
  • Be the prime contact for all daily outbound-related operational issues and resource planning. Identify areas of inefficiency and potential cost-savings.
  • Ensuring accuracy and quality of pick packing processes.
  • Managing and allocating permanent staff and labour hire workers to maximise efficiency and meet agreed customer KPIs.
  • Hours of work: approx. 8am to 4pm (flexibility required).


Skills & Experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in outbound supervisory role at a 3PL warehouse.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills. 
  • Customer service mindset and ability to manage and adhere to Service Level Agreements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent ability to multitask and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literate in Word, Email and Excel, and ability to efficiently learn company warehouse systems.
  • Current forklift licence (LF and/or LO licence).
  • Comfortable to carry out warehouse manual handling tasks when required.
