About the MAV
The peak representative body for Victoria’s 79 councils, the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) has a commitment to employing people who are passionate about the work they do and about local government.
A driving and influential force behind a strong and strategically positioned local government sector, the MAV advocates the interests of local government, lobbies for a “fairer deal” for councils, raises the sector’s profile and provides policy advice, capacity building programs and insurance services.
About the role
This newly created position will be responsible for ensuring timely, relevant and coordinated communications are developed and delivered to enhance the reputation and outcomes of the MAV as well as the local government sector.
Contributing to the objectives of the MAV as the “voice of local government”, you will create compelling content for the media, publications, digital communications and social media platforms.
Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Communications, this will be a full-time permanent position based in the MAV’s CBD office.
