Wide Awake 2017 with Susan Alberti

04 October 2017

The 3rd installment of the ‘Wide Awake Breakfast Series’ was hosted by HORNER Recruitment at Crown Melbourne.

‘Wide Awake’ is a premier professional development event series for organisations in all industries. The series aims to open your mind to exciting concepts delivered by inspirational, thought-provoking and engaging keynote speakers.

Take a look at past guest speakers including Kurt Fearnley and Diane McGrath!

This year, HORNER were lucky enough to have Dr Susan Alberti AC speak to an audience of 170 in the River Room at Crown.

Sue; the brains behind the success of the AFL Women’s competition, captured the audience with a story that extended from boardroom to locker room. Sue shared her inspirational story of adversity, heartbreak and triumph – and what a story it is!

The three pillars of Sue’s story are:

1) Her passion behind the importance of Medical Research – prevention is better than a cure!
2) Women in business & sport – narrowing the gender equality gap on and off the field.
3) The mighty Western Bulldogs!

Sue challenged our thoughts on breaking barriers and encouraged us all to push our limits and embrace the full potential in your personal and business life.

Take a look through the album for event photos and don’t forget to tag away!

HORNER are extremely proud to have made a substantial donation to the Susan Alberti Medical Research Foundation. Thank you to all attendees and congratulations to the lucky winners of the AFL footballs who were even lucky enough to get their footballs signed by Sue on the day.
