Horner is a RI Awards Finalist for “Recruitment Brand of the Year” Award

Horner is proud to announce we were shortlisted as a Finalist at the recent Recruitment International (RI) Awards for the “Recruitment Brand of the Year” Award.

The annual RI Awards recognise innovation and best practice in the Australian recruitment industry.

After 13 years with our famous red hand logo, in September last year we unveiled our redesigned corporate identity taking our branding and market presence to a whole new level, ‘Raising the Bar in Recruitment’.

We are proud of our new branding and being shortlisted as a Finalist for this award further validates that we made the right decision to change.

Horner rebrand

The rebranding process clarified what we already knew and has given us the vehicle to better reflect and communicate our Horner attributes – from the inside out. Horner is revamped, agile, and synonymous with all things Melbourne.

Our new Horner logo now portrays the personality of the team’s passion for quality recruitment – with the red bar above the last ‘r’ in the word ‘Horner’ adding a contemporary feel and reinforcing the promotional tagline – ‘Raising the Bar in Recruitment’.  Our secondary logo, ‘Hr’, plays on the acronym of the words Human Resources.

At our core, we’re Melbourne Recruitment Specialists. No matter which industry, the Horner brand represents recruitment excellence across Melbourne’s dynamic industries. The new positioning of ‘Melbourne Recruitment Specialists’ provides a point of difference that is visually reinforced with exceptional and iconic images of Melbourne throughout all branding and collateral.

In partnership with a Melbourne based marketing company, Beam, the rebrand involved a thorough, collaborative and multi-stage process with a range of stakeholders which included our clients, candidates, Director Peter Langford, Executive Management, Horner Marketing team and VECCI Interns. To fully bring our new brand to life also required the assistance of a number of other suppliers including a video production company (Visual Domain), signage company (Signway), corporate stationery supplier (Copy Place) and promotional goods company (Branded Products) to execute our new look and feel.

Our purpose “Connecting people, Shaping futures” was also a key driver in the rebrand process.  Our rebrand needed to reflect our Purpose, Vision and Values which were developed by the whole organisation prior to rebranding.  Knowing why we’re doing what we’re doing (our mission/purpose), where we’re trying to go (our vision), and how we’re going to go about it (your values) is the glue that holds out organisation together.

Rebranding was more than a cosmetic change. It was an opportunity for our branding and message to align with the Horner of today and for the future. It has enabled Horner to have a consistent message for all our Horner Community – clients, candidates and staff.

Proud of our heritage, we are excited and invigorated by the elevation of our brand internally and externally within the Horner community.
