About your new role:

The Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) are a highly regarded not-for-profit organisation representing medical radiation practitioners around Australia. As a membership-based organisation, they are responsible for patient advocacy, advancing professional standards and pathways and leading and engaging in research and learning.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your career into a senior management role, this is the perfect role for you! This exciting position comes with the opportunity to take on the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer when required. Great experience for those looking to progress up the management ladder. We are looking for a keen, focused, motivated and proactive senior manager with a demonstrable track record of success in marketing within a professional membership organisation. There will be the opportunity/requirement to travel with this role and there will be some admin support.

Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Management of the events and communications teams
  • Oversight of marketing, advertising and publicity for a range of conferences and events
  • Development of suite of promotional material for all products
  • Ensuring there is accurate and timely reporting on events, and ensuring follow up of attendees
  • Ensuring consistency of brand and messaging across all platforms
  • Responsibility for all social media strategies
  • Responsibility for corporate and other merchandise
  • Attending Branch and other events as requested by CEO

Your skills and experience:

  • Previous leadership of small team
  • Open and inclusive management style
  • Demonstrated ability to produce copy for magazine, e-blasts, promotional material and campaigns
  • Ability to instigate, develop and deliver recruitment and retention campaigns
  • Experience communicating with media on issues of public interest – drafting of accurate and attention grabbing media releases
  • Capacity to absorb and distil new information quickly
  • Confidence to make and communicate decisions clearly
