Our client is seeking an experienced committed transport / crane hire specialist to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. Well known as a genuine market leader with the ability to deliver one-stop-shop transport / hire services. This family run business has been in operation for over 60 years, holds strong client relationships and is financially stable with significant growth in the last few years.

About the role:
This yard holds over 160 trailers, 20 cranes and 50 odd trucks/utes. Working closely with the MD, you will be managing the day-to-day operations overseeing 30 drivers, 6 office staff and several subcontractors. Together with your 2IC, the logistics manager, you will use your knowledge and experience to ensure that all runs are planned to maximise efficiencies and all required permits are organised in advance to ensure the smooth operation of equipment deliveries. You will have responsibility for the crane hire operations along with ordering stock / equipment for the fleet and yard after assessing the real need. Using the in-house booking system you will ensure all jobs are logged and allocated appropriately.
Your ability to manage up and experience dealing with multiple stakeholders will allow you to develop further efficiencies across the business.
