Events Coordinator

DESCRIPTION

Horner are recruiting for an experienced Events Coordinator to work 2 days a week with the possibility of extending to 3 in the future. This position is located in Croydon. You will be working with a not for profit community organisation, working with the Indigenous community.

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Events Coordinator to join an established and supporting company. This role will see you heavily involved with the coordination of internal and external events. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects from planning, preparation and running of events
  • Organise flyers, invoicing, ticket sales, auction items etc for various annual events
  • Coordinating and event planning of functions, including initial enquiries, client liaison dining operations whilst delivering the highest level of customer service
  • Obtain feedback and collate data to determine effectiveness of the event and to help with planning of future events
  • Collate and distribute materials to support marketing event efforts;
  • Work together with other employees to ensure the efficient and effective roll out of events.
  • General Administration tasks including preparing minutes and action logs

Your Skills and Attributes:

  • 1-2 years previous experience in organising  events and/or experience in a similar role
  • Proven end-to-end event project management and coordination experience
  • Administration experience 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sociable, hardworking and passionate about reaching fundraising targets

Please note due to the nature of the role, some flexibility in working hours, including early or late starts, weekend and public holidays may required to effectively operate and deliver events as planned.
